For the past two years, the Sheba Medical Center has offered Fellowships
in various medical fields, to physicians from the states of the former Soviet Union.
The Fellowships take place at both the General Hospital and the Rehabilitation Hospital.
The length of the Fellowship is between two weeks to three months. Between three to thirty physicians take part. They take part in the routine department activities and attend lectures pertaining to that department's medical field and the Israeli health system.
The participants will join all the various physician activities in the department, including in the operating rooms, physician consultations, morning conferences and weekly conferences, and department, clinic, and radiology consultations, etc.
Fellowships are offered in the following fields:
- Cardiology
- Neurosurgery
- Neurological Rehabilitation
- Pathology
- Hemato-oncology
- Medical Center Management
- Student and Employee Evaluation
- Medical Simulation
- Blood Bank Management and Function
The Fellowship lectures are senior specialists, with broad clinical and academic experience. On completion of the Fellowship, the participants will receive a certificate signed by the Associate Director, confirming that the recipient has successfully completed his or her Fellowship.
